Chew & Belfield Neighbors Club in the Community

Our Boundaries

  • One of the criteria of being a 501(c)(3) entity lies in its ability to reach a specified number of residents with important information in the event of an emergency. More than 1,000 residents live within the following CBNC permanent-structured boundaries: beginning at SEPTA’s Walnut Lane Train Trestle (in the 6100 block of Chew Avenue and the 500 block of Walnut Lane), up to Johnson Street to the Cliveden Hill Park, and from the 6200 block of Clearview Street at SEPTA’s Washington Lane Train Station up to Musgrave Street at the Roosevelt School.

Effective 7/02/2013, the CBNC’s boundaries were expanded (to now represent more than 2,000 residents) and those boundaries are as follows: (A) Stenton Ave & E. Johnson St, (B) E. Johnson St & Germantown Ave, (C) Germantown & E. Chelten Avenues and

(D) Stenton & E. Chelten Avenues.

Effective 1/16/2015, the CBNC’s boundaries were again expanded.  These changes extended coverage from the 6300 block of Chew Avenue (at Johnson) down to the 5300 block of Chew Avenue (at Wister Street), and will include the 5700 block of Wister Street (at Chew) to the 6500 block of Wister Street (at Stenton).  These new boundaries represent an addition 1,000 residents.
